If I was in a moment of crisis I would call my papa Kenny. He
is sort of like a Chuck Norris on crack. He would also do anything for me. My
papa is not someone you want to mess with, especially when he is mad. Plus if
any of us grandkids were in a crisis he would be there faster than you could
call for help. I love my papa, besides my dad, he is about the only man I trust.
With the crap that goes on in our family he is always solid. You always know where
to go when something is going down. My papa used to be a real hard ass and when
the grandkids came into the picture he kind of turned into a teddy bear that
you didn’t want to catch on a bad day. If I were ever in a crisis this is who I
would call. If I was in an emotional crisis he would be there for me, if it was
like the movie “Taken” then he would be my Liam Neeson. My papa would be my go
to guy in a sticky situation.
Oh jeeze. Like Chuck Norris on crack? I can only imagine what thats like.. He sounds like the greatest person you could call in any crisis! :D
ReplyDeleteSide note- Taken was a beast of a movie!
Why do you call him papa kenny? instead of..dad
Whitzo, I know what you mean about having an awesome grandpa. In my life I've had the blessing of three wonderful grandfathers: my parents' parents, and my grandmother's dad. Recently one of them has moved on to Heaven, where I know he's watching and painting with the angels. I think one of the best friends God can give us is a grandpa, and I'm glad to see that you admire your's so much. It's crazy how much they can help out.
ReplyDelete(Jake, I think Papa Kenny is her grandpa, not dad ;))
I loved this post! I was smiling the whole time. I think its important to have a man in your life you trust that much. Not everyone is lucky enough to have that. I'm not that close with either of my grandpas but there are other men in my family I am close with. Papa Kenny sounds like quite a character, but I sure hope he never has to go all Liam Neeson on someone!
