I would probably say the worst thing that has ever happened to me would be my parents' divorce. At least at the time it was the most devastating situation I could possible imagine. Now, I am at peace with it. I actually think my life is probably better now than it would have been had they stayed together. I don't know specifically how it is better, but I like to think that I turned out okay despite the circumstances. The only other event I can think of that has no positive side that I can see so far would be my grandfather's death. I am sure there is something at work that is good in it somehow, but I am still pretty bitter about the whole situation. It does not seem like anything positive could come from it, but that is the same thing I thought in fifth grade when my parents told me they were splitting, so who knows how it’ll turn out?
One of the worst things that have ever happened to me is hearing my sister’s dog run over. He was only 3 months old. He was an introverted and extroverted kind of puppy. He was always more grumpy than nice and that’s why my sister and I named him Grinch because of his grumpy personality. There were rare times that Grinch would play with me and my sister. He would bark and jump around with his tongue sticking out or tug on our pants and shoes. We spoiled him with a lot of food so he was a really fluffy and chubby puppy. We would pick him up and cradle him like a baby and he would have the cutest puppy eyes. So on the morning that I woke up and went to school, my mom and dad told my sister and I that Grinch had been run over. The both of us went out to find Grinch’s body all stiff and frozen with his tongue sticking out. My sister and I had a really horrible day that day after we buried Grinch’s body.
