People make resolutions for the new year but I have never truely thought about making one myself. Therefore, making anti-resolutions shouldn't be to hard.
1. I will not stop procrastinating in some of my classes to try to get a better grade. I get good grades anyways.
2. I will not stop hunting. In my family hunting is a big deal and its something that I do almost everyday.
3. I will not clean my room to the point of perfection. My mom might not like it but even if its messy I can find everything I need.
4. I will not try to lose weight. I have tried over and over again and I just don't care anymore.
5. I will not stop wasingh my truck by hand once a month. My truck is my baby and the decals on my truck can come off it I try to power wash it. So, I use a hose and a dish rag and soap.
6. I will not stop practicing shooting my bow. I enter into archery competitions so I have to practice.
7. I will not wreck my fourwheeler. Probably going to happen.
8. I will not stop eating my homemade enchiladas. There my favorite food.
9. I will not get into a fight. I am a mellow person overall so just don't push the wrong buttons.
10. I will not shoot another coyote. Although, if it comes into the cross hairs of my .243, well, no promises were made.
Hi, I haven't really talked to you but it was cool reading these and kinda figuring out who you are. I can't really relate to the hunting ones, because I personally don't hunt but my step father and soon to be father-in-law does. So I know a little bit about hunting, number 10 made me think maybe I should tell you where I live so you can come kill the ones I hear Crying quite frequently out here. They scare my poor brother if were outside and it's dark he says the bad dog dogs are gonna come bite me. Oh yeah I forgot to mention he is almost 4. I'm sure you know that i'm gettig married,it seems like everybody knows and just the other day my mom walks in my room and says you realize when you get married you have to have a clean room, when she said that I was like 1. There is a bunch of wedding/house crap in here cluthering everything and 2. He knows how I live and I know how he lives and if we don't like it then were going to have some learning to do, because just like you said I can find everything just fine.Number 4 is pretty relatable to, I am always like man I want to be shape then I do a couple crunches here and there and don't see a difference.Hmmmm wonder why! Well I enjoy getting to know you a little better, goodluck with all of you antiresolutions!
ReplyDeleteWhitney,
ReplyDeleteI like your anti-resolutions although I wish you could have explained them a little more so I could better understand you as a person. I don't know you but I can definitley tell you're a country girl. I find it pretty intersting of how much you enjoy hunting and shooting and fourwheelers and whatnot. Those are some of the things my dad and I enjoy to do. Everyonce in awhile we'll go to springfeild and shoot skeet. I just think its a good, fun way to spend time with family. I think it's great that you're passionate about shooting your bow and entering in competitions. I must say I'm not much of a bow hunter, guns are more of my speacialty. Lol. But I hope everything works out with your anti-resolutions and good luck in your competitions! (:
Whitney, your resolions are really good. I'm not much of a hunting person myself but i've got family members that are more into it than me, do you ever go coon hunting? I personally have done that in my life, more than once and i find it very relaxing. :) It would be good not to fail your classes especially now in your high school years. Even though you might be just a Junior, your grades matter now more than ever. So at least aim for a high C or above anything below that could be very costly for you later on your Senior Year. :)
ReplyDeleteI think your anti-resolutions are rather short. Hopefully she doesn't notice that you didn't explain thoroughly how your anti-resolutions are eradicating your life. You are a huge country girl and that is quite common. Plus, you have your love for your truck as much as my love for the Scion tC. I totally understand why you would want to wash your car so often and caress that vehicle like it was your own child. I believe this is the first step we all must take before becoming a parent or such. I'm not assuming that you will be a mother, but its just within our human nature to care about the things we love and cherish. You are very womanly and have some weight issues like I have seen for the past few anti-resolution posts. I am starting to get annoyed by this but nothing towards you or anyone else who doesn't want to lose weight. Also, I wanna know if your rifle will match up to my brother's and father's guns ;]
ReplyDeleteWhitney, I think the name of your blog fits you perfectly. :) I have never been hunting but I have always wanted to go. Every once in awhile when my family is together we will get out the guns and shoot skeet and I really like it, but I'm no expert by any means. Sometimes when I stay a few days away from home my mom will go in and tidy up my room. I hate it because then I can't find anything anymore! I can definitely relate to struggling with your weight. Just eating healthier and smaller portions helped me (ice cream is my weakness though). Not that you need to lose anything, you're a beautiful girl! We have a four-wheeler but it has been broken for awhile. Sometimes it’s just nice to ride out in the wide-open country and clear your mind. I really like number eight. You may just have to bring the whole class some now that you mentioned it! Lol I hope you have a successful year, just keep being yourself! :)

ReplyDeleteI don’t know what to say here I agree with Sura these are very short but oh well. I don’t think that no matter how hard someone tries they cannot avoid procrastination; it is just a part of being human. You should see my room, it is far from clean and like you I know where everything is at but I do have my spurts where I just want to clean it I can’t handle the mess but the is also a fine line between a mess and organization if you know what I mean. Will not wreck four-wheeler... is that not what your suppose to do with them? I can’t even remember how many times I have wrecked mine but that just comes with learning, after every wreck in the back of your mind you remember what when worn and your learn to handle the situation different in the future becoming better.
Whitzo,
ReplyDeleteI understand your affection for your truck. I do love mine, even though I yell at him a lot. Also, I can relate to your procrastination habits. I have them as well. I feel like I work well under pressure so waiting until the last minute is good for me. That may not be the case all the time, but it has gotten me this far in life. I am going to keep going with it just to see what happens. Sounds like a pretty rockin’ plan to me. In regard to number 10, could you come to my house and shoot the ones around here? I could do it myself but they scare me. I know coyotes are tiny and all but they do. If you could just take care of that little problem for me I would be much obliged. Best of luck fulfilling your list!
Whitney,
ReplyDeleteI liked your Anti-Resolutions and I did not know that you loved shooting with a bow and do Archery classes. Im really surprised that you love hunting and that you actually shot a coyote before which is pretty cool. I never saw a coyote before and I just wonder if they coyote you shot was aggressive in some way towards you or something. But its nice that you decided not to shoot anymore Coyote. Great anti resolution list!
