Looking up

Faith Hill:

This woman amazes me because of her singing. I have always wanted to become a professional singer and listening to Faith Hill when I was younger, along with some other singers, made me lean more towards country. When I was younger I met Faith Hill. My dad, mom, and I went to a concert and I met her little girl along with Tim McGraw. I have always loved country music and so if I ever do get famous that is the kind of music genre I will sing. I don’t plan on ever getting that far though.  Faith Hill does inspire to sing the music I want though. She hasn’t told me personally but when I listen to her music, it brings me back to the country roots I was born into. Faith Hill amazes me because of how good she can sing with very little effort. She also helped Tim McGraw jump start his music career to be bigger. He is also a singer I love to listen to. My favorite songs that she has done are “Where are you Christmas”, “It Matters to Me”, “Mississippi Girl”, “This Kiss”, and of course her duet with her husband Tim McGraw, “It’s your love.”

 

Rebel Wilson:

I’m sure this woman has amazed a lot of people. I now she has amazed me especially with her comedy. I had never seen Rebel Wilson till she appeared in the movie Bridesmaids. From then on I was in love with her! (As an actress of course) Since I watched her in Bridesmaids I have had to watch every movie she has recently come out with. She makes me feel like I can be funnier because I can go around and quote what she says at the most perfect times. The way that she decided to become an actress almost made me fall out of my chair. Wilson had contracted malaria while in Africa and when she had hallucinations, one of them was herself as an actress who had won an Oscar. I think that online sort of explains what kind of character she is. Something else that amazes me about her is that she isn’t that bad of a singer. I found this out while watching Pitch Perfect. When I heard her sing her solo part I was like, “WOW! She hilarious and can sing!” Rebel Wilson has inspired me to be myself around others, even if I seem goofy and dumb. I am actually a funny person but am afraid to show it a lot of the time.

Whitney Houston:

Whitney Houston was an amazing singer. I have always loved singing her songs even though I will never be as good as her. This woman amazes me because of the way she can sing. Sometimes when I sing I picture myself being able to sing like her. I was named after Whitney Houston because my mom loved her as a singer, definitely not because of her life choices. Her awards as a female artist were outstanding. Some of which she made history with. For example, her song “I Will Always Love you” became the best-selling single by a female artist in music history. Whitney Houston amazes me with how easily she can get so loud and stay in control of her voice. As I grow with my singing voice, I try to sing along with her songs in hope that I will be able to have to control she does. Whitney also has a wide range on the music scale; this is also something I lack. I am not good at hitting the high notes but as I sing more of her songs I find that I am becoming better and either changing it to fit me or actually being on the right key. Even though she passed away on February 9^th, 2012 she will always be someone I look up to in the music career business.
